Town of La Plata Olde Tyme Holiday Gathering 2015: Three Hours of Seasonal Cheer Near Indian Head
November 18, 2015
If you're planning on attending La Plata's Olde Tyme Holiday Gathering, try to arrive well rested, because you're going to need plenty of energy to tackle all of the day's events!
The town celebration kicks off at 3 p.m. on Dec. 6 with the ceremonial lighting of the town's holiday tree and menorah. Shortly thereafter, eventgoers of all ages can enjoy seasonal festivities that include horse-drawn carriage rides, kid-friendly make-and-take crafts, and a special storytime led by the Charles County Public Library.
All of the above will coincide with musical performances at the Council Chamber. Take in the seasonal sounds of the St. Maries Choral Arts, the Southern Mix Barbershop Chorus, and John the Fifer, then head outdoors at 5:15 p.m. for a holiday singalong leading up to the arrival of Santa Claus at 5:30 p.m.!
The Town of La Plata Olde Tyme Holiday Gathering is free to attend, and complimentary refreshments will be served. Hope to see you there, Indian Head!
